Phoenix - The Board's Magic Pill
Thursday, February 21st, 2008

At PCW's most recent event, "New Blood Moon," which took place at UMPI's Gentile Hall, the mystery man who interfered in FireStorm's main event revealed himself as Phoenix. Phoenix was apparently hired directly by the Board of Directors in order to bring a few new things to the Heavyweight Championship division that it has been lacking...in his words, "talent." Not to be undermined, Devian promptly told Phoenix that the only way he'd receive a shot at the Heavyweight Championship was to win the NO-DQ Championship that very night.

Later on that night, Phoenix took place in a Time Limit Title Match - a match in which a title can change hands as many times as necessary, but the wrestler with the title at the end of the time limit may keep it - for the NO-DQ Championship against Morpheus and Seven, the reigning champ. Oddly enough, Phoenix won a fall, gaining him the title for a matter of moments, only to lose it back to Seven, who in turn lost it to Morpheus just as the time limit was up.

Phoenix may not have left "New Blood Moon" with the NO-DQ Championship, but he did gain the #1 Contendership to the Heavyweight Championship, as promised by Devian. How will Phoenix choose to cash in his opportunity? And how will Devian - or anyone else, for that matter - stop him?And another thing...why does the Board of Directors love injecting controversy by the boat-load into its own federation? The answers to these, and many more questions are to come....

Multiple Co-Commissioner Disorder

In a remarkable twist directly following Ignition, PCW's other Co-Commissioner was revealed to be none other than D-Evil, the alternate personality of the already revealed Co-Commissioner, Devian. Though many fans recently introduced to this "individual" may not understand this conundrum, those who have worked closely with Devian / D-Evil may have seen this coming a mile away.

Throughout our Co-Commissioners' past, he (or they, whichever is politically correct) has been fraught with incidents in which the more aggressive persona, D-Evil, would make appearances at will, much to the dismay of Devian. Psychological evaluations trace the origins of the D-Evil persona to be a self-induced defense mechanism, called on when violence was committed to the dominant personality to protect him from harm. Over time, however, D-Evil began to develop his own agenda, most often literally pitting the two personalities at odds with eachother.

For over two years, Devian has been through constant therapy to silence his alter ego once and for all. After all that hard work and concentration, a single slap at the hands of Forsaken, leader of Beginning of Sorrows (a man to whom Devian is no stranger, to say the least), was able to completely unravel the tie that bound D-Evil within Devian. But with the added surprise of D-Evil already having been appointed Co-Commissioner alongside his alter ego, one must wonder if the Board of Directors didn't have a hand in not only hiring him, but bringing him out as well....

Crashing the Burn?

PCW Officials have heard - through several independant and reliable sources - that representatives of a local federation (which will remain nameless as of now) are planning on "crashing" Ignition, or interrupting it in some way. While PCW supports the competitive spirit, as well as the wrestling business in general, such a display would be frowned upon, to say the very least. PCW has, since its inception, made it very clear that we are willing to work with just about anyone, but it is imperative that those persons go through the proper channels.

“The God of Dreams” finds his roots in Greek mythology. The son of Hypnos, the God of Sleep, Morpheus was chosen to bring dreams – both good and bad – to those who slept. While most of us may seriously question whether our Morpheus is one in the same, we cannot question the fact that our own “God of Dreams” is an expert in bringing nightmares to his opponents. A lost soul for the most part, Morpheus seeks companionship much like the brotherhood and comradery of the Olympian gods and goddesses. Unable to find exactly such a thing, he resorts to taking out his frustration on PCW’s roster.

Morpheus debuted in PCW at Ignition in November of 2007, and shortly afterwards became a tag team with the equally strange Tiger Master. Just as “The God of Dreams” was beginning to think he had found the sort of friendship he had been seeking, the tables were turned and he and Tiger Master were booked against each other. This began a bitter rivalry that lasted months, and eventually ended with Morpheus getting the upper hand.

Since then, “The God of Dreams” has focused his attention on his new prize: the NO-DQ Championship, which he won from Seven at New Blood Moon. Despite a slight hiccup in the road (i.e.: being the unfortunate stepping stone for Bull Moose Calhoun’s debut), Morpheus has held fast to the NO-DQ Championship, retaining it since February. Now, with Elexecution coming up, and a new #1 Contender – Wolf Magnum – can “The God of Dreams” retain his prized title? Or will he fall victim to the Horde’s will like so many others before him?

One of the more well-rounded wrestlers (when he has medical clearance), Chief Steve-O has an extensive knowledge of in-ring maneuvers that could get him by in any match. Since his in-ring debut in 2001, Steve-O has made many unique milestones in the Aroostook County wrestling scene, such as becoming a 17-time HardCore Champion, a Maine State Champion, earning many shots at Heavyweight titles, receiving the Most Improved Wrestler of 2005 award, and even – strangely enough – being accused of having an affair with a certain “Vampire Slayer.” All this in 5 short years.

2007 marked the birth of Steve-O's PCW career, which started off with a bang. Steve-O first had a brief rivalry with Razor’s Destruction League, while also serving as “the Problem Solver” Kyle Wells’ right-hand man. At FireStorm in January of 2008, however, he turned his back on Wells, coming to Corvyn’s aid, and later that same night found out that the two (Steve-O and Corvyn) were actually brothers. As PCW set fire to 2008, Steve-O continued his own form of punishment and justice. Unfortunately though, during a HardCore War Match at Crimson Harvest, Steve-O suffered a near career-ending injury at the hands of Wolfgang Magnum, while the then-Commissioner Devian stood idly by.

Enter Reaper and the Board of Directors. With their help, Steve-O came back at Northern Equinox and took the job of Chief of Staff. Power hungry and seeking vengeance, Steve-O first set his sights on Devian. Steve-O laid out blame for his injury, and after claiming that Devian was out of control and ineffective, demoted him from his status of Commissioner down to the regular active roster. Now, with the quest to find a new Commissioner before him, and a hit list of people who need punishing, Steve-O seeks to mold the roster and PCW into a new image, hidden away in the darkness of his mind.

Will Chief Steve-O exact justice for the wrongs done to him? Or will the Horde get the last word?

Ever since November 13th, 2007, Wolf Magnum watched PCW and its talent. He watch people come and go through the door, but he was most impressed with the people that have stayed because of their commitment. Magnum trained for months to become better and better throughout this time of Mystery. He improved every move he does, from his punch combos to his favorite finishing move, the Magnum Driver.

Thanks to Cross and the Board of Directors hiring Amanda True, her studying, and D-Evil's "connections"; Wolf could get back to being himself instead of that primitive ego which was Grizzly.

Magnum has been able to come out of that alternate ego every time Grizzly goes or is put to sleep. Wolf has been able to somewhat control his primitive personality.

At Crimson Harvest during the Hardcore War Match, D! took off Grizzly mask, making the true being to come out. Magnum won the Hardcore war match to become #1 contender for the No-DQ Championship.

Christian Starr grew up with one goal in mind: becoming a famous wrestler. At the age of 15, he trained in the Hart family’s Dungeon alongside his long-time best friend, Kyle Wells. Shortly thereafter, young Wells was released from the Dungeon due to attitude issues, leaving Christian to endure the training alone.

When he turned 18, Starr left the dungeon and Alberta behind to pursue an acting career in Vancouver. Starr - having a background in professional wrestling - requested that he do all his own stunts. None of Starr's films made it to the United States, but he was quite successful in Canada.

After he accomplished all he had set out to do in the film industry, Starr returned to his roots in the squared circle. After a quick phone call to the Hart family, and several months of rigorous training, Christian Starr is here to once again wrestle alongside his best friend, "The Problem Solver" Kyle Wells. The two have dubbed themselves Canadian Exchange, and plan to “wreak havoc in the Aroostook Tag Team division like the exchange rate has in the marketplace.”

Is Christian Starr just another flash in the pan, or will PCW’s roster find themselves Starr Struck?

Kid Chaos is a bona fide case study in psychological dysfunction, having been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Reactive Attachment Disorder, just to name a few. Early in life, Kid Chaos bounced around very quickly (as only he can) between foster families, none of which were capable of handling such a tremendous need for attention (not to mention the medical bills).

This tragic tale went on for 13 years, until early 2007, when a member of PCW’s Board of Directors took the troubled youth in. Kid was soon introduced to his new best friend: the wrestling ring. While he was being trained, the Board hired the best doctors to try and medicate this quivering ball of energy. Although his training proved nearly impossible, medicating him to a calmer state was accomplished fairly easily. The Board then decided to complete his training before taking him back off the medication, just to make it easier on the trainers. Kid was booked in a few test matches here and there, but they all lacked the drive that the Board had seen in their first encounter with him.

Then came that fateful day – Sunday, March 30th, the final day of the three-day event, Crimson Harvest – when Kid Chaos was denied his medication for the first time in nearly a year. Later that morning, Kid Chaos defeated Sage in just over three minutes, in a match that was surely one of the best of the entire event. Needless to say, Kid Chaos is finally becoming what the Board of Directors always wanted: a lightning-quick hyper-tense vessel of mayhem and carnage.

Can Kid Chaos’ agility keep him afloat, or will he get squashed like a bug by PCW’s heavy hitters?

Primitive not by choice, but by nature. The nature of unknown events that has this beast of a human hunting for his past.

Was hired in September when he was scooped from another federation. The Board of Directors found him when they were on vacation near the Allagash River. Grizzly agreed to be part of PCW due to lack of trouts. Now he hunts for cruiserweights.

At Combustion, Devian decide that since neither Cross nor Grizzly won the time limited match. The tag team known as Dangerous Species. This tag team only had one title shot which was at Firestorm. At the same show Cross and the Board of Directors hired Amanda True to study Grizzly.
